TRISOMY 18 | Kevin Wang

leaning over

your snowy crib,

I attach to you,

angelic skin

startled

by callous metal.

buds of fingers

clenching shadows,

pearls for eyes

asking me,

where is mother?

she left

to forget.

chhh dub,

chhh dub,

your tiny heart cries.

I hear,

I’m here.
