Ahmed Salahudeen was born in Abu Dhabi to an Indian father and Lebanese mother. His family moved to Minnesota when he was a child and subsequently to Jackson, Mississippi when he was about six years old. He completed his undergraduate degree at Tulane University and attended medical school at Texas Tech University.
