SPINAL ZAP | Summer Wilcox
‘Spinal Zap’ was created using a quill pen and black ink. The idea was inspired while I was a student, learning about the nervous system, spinal anatomy and various medical procedures. I found it curious how nerve pain was often referred to as ‘electric’ and studying the brain and spinal cord often reminded me of some deep sea creature.
Summer Wilcox is a physical therapist practicing in Colorado. Wilcox is passionate about health, the human body and hiking. These themes are often reflected in her artwork and photography. She loves how interconnected anatomy is with nature and how art can enhance the human experience.
