“My paintings tend to express a longing for healing - through connection, growth, solace or rest. Some express pain and exhaustion but not as a static fixed state, but as part of the process of rebuilding and healing. The more nature based pictures express good health, joy and renewal or entering into it after struggles. There are a lot of snakes in my paintings - people tend to be uneasy around them but for me they tend to represent hidden wisdom, positive sexuality and rebirth. They shed their skins - they grow and change and become. Across many cultures they are associated with healing.”
